Barcelona to Jerez Spain for Gran Premio Red Bull Moto GP race

We’ll meet in Barcelona and head out for Jerez for the Gran Premio Red Bull Moto GP practice, qualifying and race.

Our BMW motorcycle tour Moto GP Jerez combines race action and touring in scenic Spain.  Wait until you see world class riders duke it out at high speeds at the start of the Moto GP 2017 season.  Besides racing, there will be plenty to see, admire & taste.  Let’s not forget doing some great riding for 10 days while we enjoy ourselves with everything this tour has to offer.

Barcelona

The sea, the sun.  So much to see and do, you might want to arrive early and take some of it in.  Barcelona’s architecture features many works of Gaudi, from houses to a park, to the Sagrada Familia cathedral.  The central market and Gothic old town are great places to get lost for a while.

We’ll meet up with you in Barcelona and take you on a short trip south to Peniscola, a charming medieval town on the sea.

Mediterranean Coast

Arriving in Peniscola we’ll have time to relax, or visit the iconic castle. It’s been featured on screen in “El Cid” and “Game of Thrones” .  After some tapas, paella or other specialties, we’ll get on the bikes after a good night’s rest.

For starters we begin by heading south down the Mediterranean Coast to Valencia.  We’ll have wonderful views of the sea, and plenty of quaint villages to traverse.  Immediately you’ll understand why Spain is the number one European tourist destination.

Alhambra & Sierra Nevada

Prior to arriving in Jerez, we’ll visit the magnificient palace fortress of Alhambra.

Steeped in history dating back to the Roman empire, Alhambra was constructed by the Moors and King Ferdinand and Isabella.  This architectural masterpiece is one of a kind and a must-see.

Of course we’ll take advantage of riding the Sierra Nevada mountain range while in Andalucia.

M2 MotoTours MotoGP motorcycle tour

Moto GP Jerez

Moto GP draws tens of thousands of spectators from around the globe.  The speed, the sound, the battles all contribute to the thrill of attending a race.  Any motorcycle enthusiast should have a MotoGP race on their bucket-list, now you can check that box.

Besides motorcycle race action, there’s plenty of entertainment, merchants and merchandise as well.

Andalousia Route of the White Villages

Besides MotoGP, there’s plenty to see while in Andalousia and Cadiz.

We’ll take the famous Route of the White Villages and see the lime painted “pueblos blancos”.

From there we’ll head to the Tabernas desert for a visit of Fort Bravo…looks like a movie set out of a Spaghetti Western.  That’s because this fictious western town was the set for many Spaghetti Westerns and movies such as : ” The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”, “A Fistful of Dollars”, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”…

We’ll stop off in Cartagena, important naval station founded by the Carthaginians.  Many vestiges of the Roman, Byzantine and Moorish empires can be seen as well as many Art Nouveau buildings.

Making our way down the homestretch, we’ll cross some charming villages until we arrive at Peniscola.  Here we will have a fiesta in the shadow of El Castillo.

“My wife had just as much fun as I did.  Our tour had a lot of great sites to visit, charming towns, castles, wineries…we got to stay in a hotel in an old castle which was a first for us.  Our accommodations and food were very good.  There was a nice party at the local BMW dealer for our group, and we met a lot of very friendly European riders during our trip. ”

“I convinced my wife to do the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy tour. She was reluctant to go at first, but after meeting the group and visiting places like Mont St. Michel, Stonehenge, & London she was having a great time. The riding in France, Wales, & England was great. The racing on the Isle of Man is definitely a bucket-list event. Any serious motorcyclist should get there at least once. We had so much fun, the wife said we can go again! Thanks for a great trip M2!”

Lenny & Lisa HansIsle of Man 2014

“I gave this tour as a gift to my husband who always wanted to ride the Alps. From getting picked up at the airport and dropped off at the end, we had the most amazing trip. He was really happy riding and talking everything bikes with the guys. I was happy with the visits, food and hotels, especially the spa at the last one. The mountain scenery is breathtaking and the M2 team took well care of us.”
